1. Strange Sounds

If you’re hearing unusual sounds coming from your furnace or other type of heating unit, this is a sigh that it is likely in need of repair. Pops and squeaks indicate that something may have come loose in the unit. 2. Inaccurate Thermostat

Heating units come with a lifespan, and though some units may be able to hang in there for up to 20 years, they should be replaced after about 10-12 years of use.
